On the right is a Tissot PRS200. A Christmas present from 2002. The left, a Timex expedition that i’ve been using ($51 Amazon)
The Tissot movement broke a long time ago, 5 years into it’s ownership. Parts and labor would be at least three Timexes, so, seeing how nice the Timex expeditions look lately, not to mention how good the quality has become, should I even worry about fixing the Tissot? (Besides it being a present once, is there any other reason?) Or just get a Timex for the work uniform every ten years when it quits.

Fix the Tissot and sell it. I don’t think many people know or care about a nice watch anymore.

I thought that too, I was wrong. I still wear one and people do pay attention.

I’d fix it and wear it with pride. I’d do the same with a Timex too (if it broke). It’s not like you have a CalcuWatch on your wrist.
The last gasp of Manliness!

Tissot makes a nice piece dude. Save that bitch.
I got mugged for a Tissot once. I miss that watch so much. Definitely my favorite I’ve ever owned.

Depends very much on the venue. For example, if you have business in Dubai and you don’t have a nice phone, nice watch, nice suit, nice shoes...you are a nobody.

Check the sold listings on ebay before doing that.

A little late to the party here, but I agree with the others who said to fix if. Tissots are a very nice Swiss made watch and it deserves to be fixed and worn imo. I eventually would to get myself one, so maybe I am a bit biased on them, but still a very solid watch for the price nonetheless.
